"So we're finnaly alone, Outsider. Hn...I always hate having to deal with your kind.
It's such an annoyance..." Captain says.
"Sir...I'm sorry, I don't know how I got here!
I'm lost, can you just tell me where I am so I can leave?" I say, still nervous.
He looks like he is thinking again.
"Your type never has a clue...very well.
This is Knismesis Village, the last refuge against the Mamono on the island.
And even knowing this information, you can't leave." He says.
"What? Why not! I won't tell anyone about the village if that's what-" I begin.
"You are an Outsider, you are a plaything of the Mamono. I will never let you leave...
and even if, for some reason, I did there is no way to leave the island." He says.
"I...I'm stuck here?" I say flabbergasted.
"Correction: You are stuck in this prison.
Your treatment will begin after this meeting." He says.
"A far less garish, more intense experience of tickling compared to
what you recieved on that damned bar." he says.
Oh no!Not that!
"What?! You can't be serious! I haven't done anything!" I shout.
He looks at me just like he did with the waitress. Brr...
"You are an Outsider. That alone is punishable by the natural law of Gargalesis.
And I will always uphold the laws of this land. It's all that keeps us safe
from the Mamono.
"That what? What are Mamono?" I ask.
"Hn...you're awfully inquisitive for an Outsider.
Very well, I'll tell you. The Mamono are hostile spirits that inhabit this island.
They are cruel and ruthless, feeding on the Tickling Essence of other creatures.
They are far more devious than those whores at the pub.
If caught by a Mamono, your life as a free creature is over.
You've become a slave to her ticklish whims." he says.
"T-Tickling Spirits?(What is wrong with this place?
Is everything out to tickle everything else?)" I say,
but keep the second half in my mind.
"Correct, and Outsiders belong to the Mamono. That is why I cannot let you free,
and why you must receive treatment.
It's the only way to purge the village of your influence." he says.
He can't do this! Can he?
"N-no! Maybe I can help! There...there has to be something I can do!
Just give me a chance!" I say in fright.
He thinks for a while.
"You look stronger than most Outsiders, were you some kind of warrior?" He asks.
A little less afraid, I say: "Yes! Yes, I am a Mage!"
"Mage you say...well, then I wil grant you one alternative punishment.
More of a task, really."
"Anything! Just give me a shot!" I say.
"Recently...the Mamono has become even more hostile than ever. We can barely keep them
away from the village.
They come in the dead of night and snatch villagers away."
"That's horrible.." I say.
"I don't know what has caused this sudden increase in activity...
but you task will be to track down whatever caused this...this curse and get rid of it!"
A little shocked, I say: "W-wait...you expect me to leave the village
and fight a bunch of tickle monsters by myself?"
"Yes, that is your only option.
In fact, you will go regardless of your decision.
If you fail, you will be returned to the Mamono.
If you should succeed, we will be saved and you vindicated."
"I...I don't have a choice..." I say.
"No, now hurry up. I've unlocked your cell door." Captain says.
"Will you help me? Where do I start?" I ask.
"The Mamono come from the forest north of the village.
That's as good a place as any to begin looking. Now, if you'll excuse me."
He says, and walks upstairs.
"Oh man..this has gone from bad to worse..." I say.
I guess that's my only choice besides...ugh...better get going...
